Do we need more quiet missions between the big heists?

The trailer understandably focused on chases, explosions, and shootouts. But one of the things I loved in Red Dead 2 was the downtime: conversations, routine chores, traveling with someone, and little moments that made the cast feel real.

For a story centered on a couple, I'd love missions where nothing spectacular happens and that is kind of the point.

Completely agree. If every mission tries to top the last explosion, the emotional moments won't have any space.

Jason and Lucia spend 20 minutes arguing about which restaurant to order from. Mission complete.

Pacing benefits from contrast. The quieter sequences also make later danger feel more consequential.
