Please let us complete missions without a giant 'MISSION FAILED' screen

I love Rockstar's storytelling, but I hate when a mission gives you a cool situation and then punishes you for trying an approach that wasn't scripted.

Not asking for every mission to be a sandbox. I just want more than one valid route or tactic when the scenario reasonably allows it.

A robbery mission that lets you enter from the roof, rear alley or front door would be so replayable, even if it converged on the same ending.

Mission failure should come from failing an objective, not being a few meters away from the designer's intended path.

There's a tradeoff with cinematic pacing, though. The best version probably alternates directed set pieces with open-ended segments.
