Same console as your friends or the better controller?

I'm lucky enough to have friends split between Xbox and PlayStation. One group plays everything together on Xbox; the other keeps talking about how good the PS5 controller might feel in GTA 6.

Assuming online play and cross-platform details aren't settled yet, which would you choose if you could only buy one copy?

Friends. Not even close. I always get bored faster when I can't join the group.
