Was launching the GTA 6 preview on Netflix a smart idea?

still trying to understand why the extended look premiered on netflix instead of just dropping normally on rockstar's channels. people were hunting for streams and some said netflix wasn't loading.

maybe it reached a wider audience? i dunno. seemed like a weird extra step for a gaming trailer.

A platform partnership can generate publicity, but the audience expects frictionless access to a game preview. It needs to be worth the inconvenience.

I ended up watching a creator co-stream. The conversation was fun but I would've preferred a clean official upload from the beginning.

Image quality matters for this kind of showcase too. A compressed reaction stream isn't ideal when you're looking at fine visual details.
