Would you buy a console JUST to play GTA 6?

I have a decent gaming PC and no current console. Used to think I'd grab a cheap one near launch, but hardware prices haven't exactly gone in the direction I expected.

Anyone actually buying a whole system for one game? I'm trying to talk myself out of a very expensive impulse decision.

I'd look at used consoles first, and only if there are at least three other games you'd enjoy. Otherwise you're paying a huge premium to play early.

I went shopping for a console and somehow left with groceries. Financial responsibility has ruined me.

If the wait were a year, I'd be tempted. If it's a few months? I'd rather save that money for the PC version. Problem is we don't know the wait.

yeah the uncertainty is what's getting me. I can wait six months. Two years is a very different conversation.

Buying a console for one game is a very expensive decision to make. I can't possibly do that. I would rather wait for the PC version. Money is hard to come by these days.
