Would you trade map size for more buildings you can enter?

A giant map looks amazing in trailers, but I often find myself wishing more of the city were accessible. Apartments, diners, motels, small shops, clubs — the ordinary places.

If Rockstar had to choose, would you prefer more square miles or fewer miles with a lot more interiors?

More interiors for me. Walking into a random laundromat that has its own little details would do more for immersion than another empty highway.

A lot depends on whether the interiors are interactive or just repeated geometry. Quantity by itself isn't enough.

I want to enter every building until I remember that means 900 staircases.

Strong visual variety is the answer. I don't need every door open, but the places that do open should feel worth exploring.

That's a good distinction. I'd happily take 200 memorable spaces over 2,000 copy-pasted rooms.
